Title: "Regulatory Failure: Why Financial Reports Lost Their Relevance and How to Restore It”
Abstract:
“Corporate financial reports provide the backbone of investors’ information and to a large extent support managerial internal decisions (M&A, etc.). I will provide new evidence showing that these reports lost most of their relevance and usefulness, discuss the reasons for this relevance lost, and provide an alternative information paradigm. I will end up with a new research agenda.”
